Lauren and Markie

Lauren Ash-Morgan, actor who has been a part of the SSC's board since 2011, is the co-founding artistic director of the recently formed theater firm Speech of Fire. She was the Artistic Director of Seoul Shakespeare Company from 2014 until 2019. In her role as the Artistic Director of SSC she served as the company's composer, musician and text coach as well as costume/set/music design. While she would usually be the director of her group the first time she was directing was with SSC King Lear. She's appeared on various other television shows besides acting. The daughter of poet Marylee Post and scientist Richard F. Post she was raised alongside two brothers within Walnut Creek. Las Lomas High School is where she went to school and was involved in cheerleading. After a brief stint at Pomona College, she graduated from Lewis & Clark College. The previous marriage she had was to Stephen Knox. Michael A. Ross is her husband of 22 years since 1982. They have two daughters. Post is an excellent actress, an ideal mother and wife, and also an excellent role model for numerous Hollywood celebrities.
